Follow the Biology couples Edge technology with the knowledge of specific proteins which are part of a biochemical pathway or biological network. To the extent that such proteins are reflective of activity within those pathways or networks, following their movements and location can be used to identify additional proteins which may also be markers of those pathways or networks.
Follow the Biology allows marker fingerprints or multicomponent cocktails to be identified within their biologically relevant environment. Researchers are able to follow the whole disease process from diagnosis to treatment since, in Edge technology:
